Just when you thought you have tasted it all, comes an innovation that can whet your appetite again especially when you crave for something new.
Rovic Cuasito, former Game Master of Kapamilya Mas Winner Ka- Mindanao of ABS-CBN Davao is constantly on the lookout for adventures, be it motorcycling or food. On a recent foray into the outskirts of Davao City, he chanced upon Chef G’s Kitchen.
And lo and behold, a new dish to enjoy--- the Bulalugaw.
All the flavors of the fork tender, off the bone beef (cooked for 5 hours and more), vegetables, and sweet corn of the hot Bulalo soup seeps into the sticky rice gruel making it so tasty.
Then the porridge is topped off with toasted crunchy garlic, pork chicharon, soft-boiled egg, and spring onions. Squeeze kalamansi, drizzle chicken oil, and you got a hot and comforting congee.
Some say it tastes weird but like all things new, it takes getting used to and probably acquiring a taste for it. But for Rovic, it tastes good and satisfies his adventurous tongue.

How to get there:
Major airlines fly daily to Davao City from Manila and Cebu.
If you take the Carlos P. Garcia Highway or Diversion Road from the airport, it would take 20-30 minutes to get to Chef G’s Kitchen is located along Libby-Bago Road, Puan, in between La Toscana and South Pacific Subdivisions.
